Stockholm – Christina Tingskog

Hi All,

Dancing again at the moment in Christina Tingskog‘s ‘Perfect’ or ‘Come Join My Picnic’. Lovely contemporary dance work. It’s one of those interesting European contemporary dance/theatre pieces and it’s going down really well with audiences. It’s a perfect introduction to dance, as it is still sufficiently arty but with moments a young crowd can find accessible and at times hillarious… so if you are too weirded out by pure movement, it works across numerous levels, so there is still a hook.

Great company of dancers, challenging content and brilliant excuse to travel around Sweden.

Only a few days left then back to London for a flying visit and off to Birmingham for Carol Ann Duffy’s Lost Happy Endings with Red Earth Theatre Co at the MAC…

Will try to get some dance footage for you all, as I have an awesome sequence of lifts and choreography with two of the male dancers, which has been a great challenge but now looks quite spectacular and is something I feel a bit chuffed about…
